Xavier Ibarrondo was nominated President of Eurojuris Belgium last September. This 52-year-old senior partner at Janssens & Associés is thrilled to lead “such a dynamic network of highly skilled professionals”.
Aside from running a decent size law firm, Xavier dedicates time to teach the new generation as an Associate Professor at EPHEC Business School in Brussels and also sits on the board of two non-profit organisations.
He admits that, above all, he loves spending quality time with his family. He doesn’t hide his passion for football either and supports his favourite team, the Real Madrid, with pride and joy.
When asked about his vision and kind of leadership, Xavier answers the following : “Our Belgian network was founded more than two decades ago. I like the idea of maintaining and nurturing what’s been done in the past, as well as welcoming and supporting new ideas from the younger generations. Modern technology and social media can add great value and significantly increase the visibility to our image internationally, we should take advantage of that”.
He adds : “I would also like to highlight the very close collaboration we have with our French and Dutch colleagues. Our annual joint events such as the one organised in Breda last October, are always a great occasion to explore trans-national and international issues in detail. Not only do these sessions help us reflect on the future of our profession, they can also lead to substantial collaborations on international cases”.
