Meet Michael Proksch, new President of Eurojuris International

Michael Proksch has been elected President of Eurojuris last month.  An opportunity to get a closer look at his profile and vision for the future of our professional network.

This dynamic & highly qualified lawyer is Senior Partner at Proksch & Partner Rechtsanwälte OG, a 68-year-old firm which has been founded by his grandfather and later taken over by his father Richard who is one of the founders of Eurojuris Austria. This medium-size firm now counting 6 lawyers and 23 staff members in total is based in Vienna and provides a variety of legal services and specialises in, Insolvency & Restructuring law as well as Corporate Law, Real Estate, Economic & Financial Offences and Litigation. One recent development of the lawfirm is to focus on is Early Stage Start-Ups.

Michael studied law at Vienna University and Miami University, Ohio and holds a doctorate in Law from Vienna. He has been teaching law at the University of Applied Science Wiener Neustadt for several years.

As a true Austrian, he enjoys family time, outdoor activities such as hiking & skiing, and likes to challenge his team each year at Vienna’s Relay Marathon for some healthy team work.

When asked about his strategic vision for Eurojuris International, he answers: “I want to make sure our current members get as many opportunities as possible to meet, create value & new business opportunities. I also wish to dedicate more energy into Internal Communications with a special focus on our numerous national networks.”

Michael adds: “I also wish to thank our former President Niels Eriksen who did a great job at interesting new member firms in countries where our presence has still been weak.  This was the case in Czech Republic during our Prague Congress which attracted new talents and I’ve taken on the challenge to do just as well on our upcoming congress in Lisbon next spring.”
