Insights from Saragossa: meet Antonio Vargas Vilardosa

This month's interview focuses on Spanish lawfirm Vargas Vilardosa Abogados, located in the city of Saragossa. Its founder and main associate, Antonio Vargas Vilardosa, shares with us his insights and impressions.

Can you describe your firm? What are your specialities?

At Vargas Vilardosa Abogados, we mostly specialise in Intellectual Property, Unfair Competition, and Internet and Technology Law.

We have gathered a team of professionals who all believe in personalised services. We think the best way to serve the interests of our clients is to provide them a personalised service based primarily on trust. As time went by, this philosophy proved to be right: we have come to position ourselves as a firm of reference within the sector of Intellectual property.

What is your experience of working with Eurojuris?

The network has proven very useful when we have issues in other countries, especially when it comes to cooperation in judicial proceedings. I remember in particular one case when our partnership with Eurojuris was especially helpful: it was a conflict pertaining to unfair competition and patents. The case was located primarily in France and our Eurojuris correspondents there made the process very smooth.

What do you think is the most important quality for a lawyer today? What would be your best advice to a young lawyer?

The most important quality for a lawyer today is honesty! You must be honest with your clients. Give them an appropriate answer, anytime they have a request. To young lawyers starting today I would say: get specialised. Vocational training and perseverance will help you.
